interesting

My oh my, it took me some few seconds to remember how to spell the word interesting… whether it’s i or e.

Anyways….. I’m having my certification on Tuesday, about Commodities and Energy. Dislike the computation so I didn’t bother to read and understand. But what interests me is the topic about Coal. I thought coal is just the charcoal made from heated wood, the black one?  I’m sure you’ve seen that na. Uling in Tagalog. Mama uses it for grilling and cooking when we run out of LPG.

Learned today that coal is a fossil fuel that is extracted through surface or underground mining and it’s a non-renewable source for generating electricity.

Now check this:

Coal forms when dead plant matter is converted into peat, which in turn is converted into lignite, then anthracite. This involves biological and geological processes that take place over a long period of time.

Takes 300 million years to form them. wow

They’re still building this whatever they’re building.

About two years ago, they were digging a big hole.

Classic One-Knee proposal. I was thinking of seeing a ring in my icecream or frozen yoghurt or somewhere in my food haha.

Here’s the long story: Told Michael one time that I want him to change something about me. And he asked what it was. I told him I want to keep it as a secret that time.

M: I want to go to Chinatown.
D: why.
M: I’ll buy something there that might be connected to that secret.”

Feb 29 - we went to Chinatown. And sales ladies were hailing “Mam, Ser wedding ring!”. There were a lot of rings. wait, wait, wait, a wedding ring? where’s the engagement ring?

Fine, I didn’t ask. Coundn’t choose which one I want. One part of my head tells me we’re buying a wedding ring, and the other part tells me, no I think he’s buying me an engagement ring.

Then we saw lots of rings and I tried some. Still I don’t know whether a wedding or engagement ring we’re looking for.

Three sales ladies in that jewelry shop were showing me their rings. I tried them and suddenly I noticed Michael is gone. Er ist weg!! Where did he go?

I couldn’t see him anywhere. Ok, I guess he’ll return in a bit. Sales lady 1 said: Mam, intay lang kayo dito, kinukuha pa ang ibang designs” (Mam,
just wait here while we get the other designs”)

So I waited. And tried the rings.

And finally about 10 minutes or so, he arrived. I showed him which one I like and negotiated for lower pricer.

Make long story short, he didn’t want the ring I like (silver with stone, pwet ng baso stone)

So we went home without a ring. Sad.

Following day, we went to Intramuros and enjoyed history and facts. He was waiting for the right time to pop the question but few students where there and when they left, it was too late because manong guard asked us to leave, it was 6pm already.

So we left. I noticed that he’s been looking and looking around. Then he lead me to a hidden wall somewhere there, away from people and the manong guard.

On bended knee he asked “Debbie, will you marry me?”

To my surprise I uttered, “Oh no!!

Oooops, I mean: yes, YES YES!!!

I love you so much Michael. I’m so happy I met you.

****** now I need to decide whether to have a double surname or just his lang.

Green fields and blue skies!

Had fun under the scorching sun in Intramuros, Manila.
